Managing Director
The Managing Director is responsible for the efficient management of the affairs of the company, overseeing day-to-day operations, and providing overall leadership to guide the strategic direction of NYAWASCO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in management, development, and implementation of strategies
- Ensure compliance of financial management through mobilization and budgeting
- Lead development and implementation of strategic and annual work plans
- Foster corporate culture promoting professionalism and good governance
- Advise the Board on technical, financial, and legal affairs
- Submit regular reports to the Board on revenue and HR functions
Requirements:
- Postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Business, Finance, Strategic Management or relevant field
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Business, or relevant field
- Minimum 10 years' experience, with 5+ years in senior management within water/utility sector
- Member of a relevant professional body in good standing
- Knowledge of water sector legislations (WASREB, WRA, WWDA, WSP)
- Meet Chapter Six requirements of the Constitution of Kenya

Commercial and Finance Manager
Responsible for the commercial and finance function, financial analysis, and reporting as per laid down procedures.
View Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee performance management in Finance and Commercial sections
- Develop department budget and work plan
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Prepare Board management papers for approval
- Budget preparation/cashflow management review
- Establish and ensure application of sound financial policies
- Conduct periodic review of actual performance against budget
- Control expenditure for decision making
View Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business-related field
- CPA (K), ACCA or equivalent (mandatory)
- Master's degree in Finance is an added advantage
- Member of a relevant professional body in good standing
- Minimum 10 years' experience, with 5 years in managerial role
- Experience in utilities, public sector, or water services preferred
- Experience in donor-funded project accounting is an added advantage
- Must satisfy Chapter Six requirements
Technical Services Manager
Provide strategic leadership for water production, distribution, and sanitation infrastructure, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant services.

- Ensure departmental objectives align with Corporate Objectives
- Develop Departmental Business Planning
- Ensure Water and Sewer projects are well planned and executed
- Coordinate with HR to ensure adequate, competent staff
- Ensure projects and operations are within approved budgets
- Develop framework for water distribution and sewer system management
- Manage non-revenue water reduction and water loss minimization
- Ensure safety standards for materials and operations
- Preserve water catchment areas
- Ensure technical teams have adequate tools and systems
View Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering
- Postgraduate degree in relevant field is an added advantage
- Registered with Engineers Registration Board/IEK in good standing
- 10 years' experience in Water and Wastewater Engineering
- 5 years at senior management level
- Understanding of technical dimensions of water engineering functions
- Knowledge of laws and regulations affecting water sector
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Must satisfy Chapter Six requirements
